Miriam, a.k.a. Empire Isis, blazes fire with her fresh blend of conscious lyrics over urban and world music rhythms. Bursting onto the global music scene with flair, the music of Empire Isis fuses and transforms Hip Hop, Dancehall, and Reggaeton.

Empire Isis debut album, Empress Gangsta was recorded in part at Bob Marleys legendary Tuff Gong Studio (Kingston, Jamaica, WI) working with the legendary Jamaican musicians Dean Fraiser and Chinna Smith, as well as in collaboration with cutting-edge producers from Brooklyn, NY and the I.C.O.N.Z. from Miami, Florida.

Miriam has had adventures and projects spanning twenty-five countries including Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Jamaica, Cuba, and all of Central America.

Inspired by the street sounds of every block from North America to Latin America, the Caribbean to Africa; the music and lyrical fury of Empire ISIS reveal a solid determination to rally the masses and break the mold of the female MC. Her empowering message, explosive tone and versatile musical styles aim to shake the hips and elevate the mind.

Empress Gangsta seasons English lyrics with Spanish, Patios, French, Portuguese, and Swahili. The song What Ya Say Bout Dat expresses her social conscience, spirituality and one-world philosophy- Empress Gangsta-style,

"Isis dedicate this to all those ina yard/ though we know you sufferin and times is hard /keep your family tight it could never break apart / build a righteous government and get a fresh start."

From her hit single "what you say 'bout that"
Watch out for the video release this August.
