Big up everyone, Greetings
****problems****
back in 2004 & 2005
we been through this with the same dude from va/fl,ma,dc,ja etc muliple times.
he did not learn his lesson at all

dude if you are writing on DHR.com
I kindly ask that u stop claiming bogle gave the name ***Famous Yute***, stop saying he taught u, you can bless him, and do his dances, bogal would like that, but please stop saying you are affiliated with him and his family.

If you want to carry on with *Famous Yute*
that is fine!! Claim it but dont carry Mr.Bogle name with you. The real Famous is still going strong in jamaica (Famous Pose).
We dont fight over names.
Just please justify yourself correctly.

***Upsetting***
alot of people are getting upset with this issue all over. Im getting emails and calls from jamaica and europe about this issue.
We all thought this was settled. you are still carrying on with this.

please send me an email and we can talk much further.

please stop mix up.

move on
i have been reading the guestbook for over two weeks now and it seems to me that everyone talks about everyone and its childish. People are always talking about whose fuckin who or which person is a better dancer stop the foolishness. God gave each and everyone of us talent no matter what type of talent it is. All of us our unique in our own way and we all express ourselves differently. There is no need for us to be against one another dance is suppose to be an expression of many diffrent things not hate. So lets try to get along. And to foreveradancer and learn quit the nonsense it seems to me that neither one of you can express your self without cursing or calling each other names. Learn to talk then learn to dance.Thats my advice.

JAM-PACKED
Mr. Wacky was truly remembered in great fashion, a real pioneer in dancing

AN ARRAY OF dancers, artistes, family members and well-wishers turned out to the Mas Camp Village on Oxford Road, New Kingston, last Friday, as they remembered one of dancehall's musical icons, the late, great Gerald 'Bogle' Levy, aka Mr. Wacky.

The event, dubbed Mr. Wacky Memorial was 'out and bad', as MC Nuffy, along with selectors, dancers, artistes and patrons who turned out to remember Bogle, kept the vibes all 'jiggy' into the early morning.

Patrons, in their customary fashion, were slow in turning out to the event, and at 12:30 a.m. when THE STAR arrived, many persons were still seen, lurking in the parking area, apparently, not certain of what to expect, given that this was the first event of its kind for Bogle.

JAM-PACKED

However, as time rolled by, the Mas Camp would eventually become jam-packed with hardly much space to move around freely.

The fashion, as expected, stood out as dancers especially, turned out in their own creative styles. For the males, the predominant colour of black, with the spike bracelets around the arm, and a few trench coats, were all evidently patterned off the unique styles of Bogle. Where the women were concerned, the bid to show more skin than cloth was their 'fashion ova style'.

Selectors and sound systems kept the musical vibes pounding, as many brought much diversity by way of musical tribute to Bogle.

Sounds like Metro Media, Bass Odyssey, Stone Love, Swatch International and Hotta Ball, coupled with selectors like Sky Juice, Jagga B and others, were present ensure that patrons had much to dance and move about to.

From soothing tunes like Sunny Days by Jah Cure, In Heaven by Da'Ville, Wanna Be Loved by Buju Banton, Footprints by TOK and Can't Keep A Good Man Down by Sizzla, to some hardcore dancehall tunes like Murderer by Buju Banton, Hail The King by Fantan Mojah, Eagle And The Hawk by Bounty Killer and Movado's Real McKoy filled the air.

Selectors like Jagga B and Sky Juice, however, flipped the scripts a little and shifted from the norm, playing more soulful songs that stirred emotion and feeling within the audience. Jagga B for example, played R. Kelly's If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time which was appreciated by the crowd.

At 2:45 a.m. Bogle's mother, Ms. May May was invited on stage and presented with a large key marked 'Bogle', which was placed around her neck.

She was also presented with a plaque by K.C Jockey in loving memory of her son for his contribution to dancing.

"All dem deh, weh di key deh dem a sen-se foul, trus mi, him gone to heaven," his mother uttered over the microphone as she danced her way off stage. The stage was, however, 'bomb rushed' by dancers who were all too eager to join Bogle's mother on stage, as they all danced to his song, All Dem Deh.

What would a tribute to the late Bogle dancer be without an entire segment, dedicated to highlight dance? A number of dancers and groups were allowed around a minute each, to come on stage and show off their talent. Among them were the Shady Dancers, Bone Crusher, Mr. Wacky Grandson, Platinum Dancers and Ding Dong. Ice and Bwoisy, who were later joined by Laba laba, rounded off the dancing segment.

At 5:45am, the sun was almost out and the artistes, who had turned out to pay tribute to Mr. Wacky, took the stage, completing a shortened set. The list of artistes were many, as the likes of Ras Ghandi, Ruffian, Turbulence, Harry Toddler, Zumjay, Delly Ranx, Movado, Bling Dawg, Bounty Killer, Alozade, Shane O, Nitty Kutchie, Spragga Benz, Junior Reid, General B, Buju Banton and even L.A Lewis, all had their turn on the microphone.

Man charged with Bogle's murder- RJN News

Monday, October 03, 2005

Following months of intensive investigation, the police have finally charged someone for the January 20 murder of entertainer Gerald "Bogle" Levy and a member of his entourage.
Twenty-two year old Ricardo Palmer otherwise called "Triston Palmer", has been charged with two counts of murder, three counts of shooting and illegal possession of a firearm arising from the dancer's death.

Mr. Palmer, a studio engineer of Campden Crescent Maverly, St. Andrew, was charged Thursday afternoon by detectives from the St. Andrew Central Police Division.

He was captured three weeks ago by the St. Andrew South Police.

Investigators had reported that Bogle and four other persons were attacked while sitting in a vehicle parked at a service station on Constant Spring Road.

Bogle died the same day, while 24-year-old Kevin Reid, who was also in the vehicle, died a few days later.

fun
A TRIBUTE TO the late Bogle, also known as Mr. Wacky, was the fitting end to a fabulous day of dance on the final day of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission's national dance finals at the Little Theatre, Tom Redcam Avenue. The tribute was created by the Excelsior Community College as their entry in the competition's popular dance segment.

By fun @

okay
Buju's voice was allowed to graffiti the dancer's legacy on the dancehall to the thumping bass of the song Bogle while three female dancers clad in yellow body suits did the requisite dance to the DJs chanting. Yellow tape was then strung across the back of the stage and the dancers, (four of them having been joined by a male), now came back with black roses, in tribute to Bogle's membership in the 'Black Roses Crew'.

The dancers were now clad in black trench coats signifying Bogle's growth to a more eccentric character as he moved from Bogle to Mr. Wacky and they moved through the slew of dances attributed to Bogle including the 'row the boat' and 'sesame street'. Midway through the dance a painting of Bogle was lowered and the piece ended with a child's voice saying, "Mr. Wacky we will always love you and I hope up in heaven you will Jiggy with God."

Energetic

The dance was energetic, well choreographed and executed and earned the trophy for Best Popular Dance among seniors in the Studio Groups. Excelsior also copped trophies for Best Solo with Shelly Ann Callum who performed The Runaway and Best Duet with the dance We Can Make it Work.

good
The popular dance segment continued the tradition of being a highly contested category. It was filled with the sound of gunshots, humour and fabulous moves as the dancers continued to push the limits, combining traditional dance moves with acrobatic skill. The all male groups in particular often included breath-defying stunts where the dancers effected somersaults leaping from each other's shoulders and even going so far as to slide on their heads.

Not surprisingly, there was hardly a moment of silence in the theatre as excitement rang high and members of the audience screamed for all they and their neighbours, were worth. In all cases the moves were not well executed which simply highlighted the timing and skill necessary to get it just right.

By good @

out
The Dance Skit category also presented the possibilities of popular dance with Bridgeport High Cultural Group's Jiggy Friday which combined elements of the zombie movie (pulling on Michael Jackson's classic Thriller) with a night in the dancehall. The hilarious piece, which earned the trophy for the Dance Skit segment seemed to be pointing out that a gunman, or shotta, can make a duppy, but he is no duppy conqueror.

The contestants competed separately as school and community groups or studio groups. In the former segment Kayas of St. Catherine copped the Best Popular Dance trophy with their piece Hastic Orders. However, St. James' Chemical Boys came close enough to be dubbed worthy of a special award for their dance, Out and Bad.

THE KILLING
THE KILLING of dancehall icon Bogle has already left stains on the inner city and not just in his Lincoln Crescent community in St. Andrew.

Bogle, christened Gerald Levy, was killed at a service station on Constant Spring Road, St. Andrew, some time around 3:00 a.m. yesterday. Less than five hours later, the Dillion Avenue house of another popular dancer, John 'John Hype' Prendergast, was firebombed. It is strongly believed that the latter incident was a reprisal for Bogle's killing as both dancers were said to be involved in a feud.

ALTERCATION
ALTERCATION

In the early hours of yesterday morning, Bogle was attending what turned out to be his last dance: the 'Weddy Weddy Wednesdays' held at the Burlington Avenue headquarters of the Stone Love sound system.

At approximately 2:35 a.m., he had an altercation with some men the reasons for which are still unclear. Bogle and his entourage left and while purchasing gas at the service station, two men rode up on a motorbike. One fired gunshots at the group, killing Bogle. The other four persons were injured and taken to hospital.

Hours later, news of the fire broke. When The Gleaner arrived at the scene about 8:30 a.m., smoke was still swirling from what was left of the house at the back of the yard. The rear section of another house was also damaged. It took units from the Half-Way Tree, Rollington Town, York Park and Trench Town stations to bring it under control.

SOME POSSESSIONS SAVED

Occupants of the houses were able to save some of their possessions including dressers and a few appliances. Some sat with forlorn faces while others removed other items from the blackened mess as firemen extinguished the last of the flames. Afterwards, they carefully poked through the rubble in an attempt to learn more about the fire's origin.

Bogle came to prominence in the early 1990s when he created a self-titled dance, immortalised in song by DJ Buju Banton. Since then, he has been credited with creating such dances as the 'Urkel', 'World-a-Dance', and more recently 'Row Like a Boat'.

what happen to bogle
The international dancehall star has been shot dead at a petrol station in Kingston, Jamaica.
Police say he was parked when two people on a motorbike rode up and opened fire. A 16-year-old and four other men were also hit.

Mr Bogle was a huge influence on Beenie Man, Elephant Man and Buju Banton and literally put the dance into dancehall.

You'll know him for his famous moves such as the Bogle, the Butterfly and the Sesame Street. What memories has he given you?

"Gerald "Bogle" Levy, a leading dancehall choreographer."

The above snippet, taken from one of many headlines that circulated internationally one year ago, underscores the impact of the late Bogle, who will be remembered later today, on the anniversary of his death.

happy
Dancehall choreographer Levy may not have had the benefit of formal instruction in dance movement, but when it comes to a textbook, well, it's certainly arguable that he wrote it, or at least demonstrated it.

Though not the first individual to accompany dancehall artistes, Bogle more than any single figure helped to move dance moves from the fringes to its present position at the forefront of the dancehall culture. He was a major influence on breakout artistes such as Elephant Man and Beenie Man, earning direct mentions in the songs they crafted around his innovative sequences and featuring heavily in the music videos.

ja works
From the Bogle to the Urkel (so named for the proto-nerd lead character Steve Urkel on the TV series Family Matters) to the World dance, Levy spun out countless other dancehall-defining moves on an almost daily basis from the Lincoln Road area that still serves as the base for his remaining dance confederates.

As fluid as he was in action, Bogle was as well recognised for his non-dance sayings and antics, which earned him the additional moniker of Mr Wacky. Among the most telling were his exclamations "Crime Scene!" and "Forensic Report!" which would prove eerily and tragically prophetic in the wee hours of January 20, 2005.

While at a service station in Half-Way-Tree, Bogle was shot by two men who rode up on a motorcycle and opened fire on the dancer's F-150, killing him and wounding the other occupants of the vehicle (one of whom subsequently died).

The funeral, at the Kencot Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kingston, was all but a self-contained dance (much to the chagrin of church offcials), complete with mourners in their up-to-the-minute dancehall garb, chrome-laden SUVs, luxury sedans and coupes(Bogle himself was known to sport a red bentley convertible), wild cheering, singing and, yes, dancing.

The mourners ran the gamut from entertainment and political luminaries to his own compatriots, like Ice, who along with Boysie, and Cullo-Cullo and others are holding up his legacy.

Ice, who grew up in the Jungle area, watching his idol perform, repeats a particularly trenchant -indeed "Bogle-ian" observation. "is like Mr Wacky say, everybody a dance but nuh everybody a dancer."

The difference, he says, lies in the commitment to creating one's own moves and relentlessly proving them on the "battleground" - the dances and stages of Jamaica and, increasingly, the world.

learn about bogle
Slain entertainment personality, dancer and choreographer, Gerald Levy, popularly known as "Bogle" and "Mr. Wacky," was laid to rest on Sunday, February 6 at the Dovecot Memorial Park after two weeks of festive activities and a thanksgiving service, which eventually turned into a "jiggy affair," at the Kencot Seventh Day Adventist Church

The dancers death saw rival factions from South St. Andrew bridging the gap, as persons fearlessly "trespassed" into territories considered "enemy borderlines" to get a last look at the man who has been dubbed the "international king of dancing" and icon of the ghettos.

On the Friday and Saturday before the funeral at Matthews Lane, Tivoli Gardens, Tony Spaulding Complex and Black Roses corner, where the viewing of the body took place was total pandemonium. The most popular phrases expressed by those viewing his body were: "A lie!," "Wey dem did deh!," "Wey di key deh!," "Oh so badly Mr. Wacky!," "Him pretty eeh!," "Him get better looking," "Mr. Cornwall [House of Tranquility's CEO] really mek him look smooth!," "Bwoy, di big man glass casket tuff," not to mention the vengeful comments from those who swore to avenge his murder.

Bogle's mother, Dorothy Smith a.k.a. Miss Mae, holding on to the glass casket, wept bitterly when it arrived from a one-hour viewing at Matthews Lane to Black Roses corner on Friday, February 4. She was, however, soon smiling when she looked at the pleasant demeanour of her son's face. She then chanted, "Mi son pretty sah! Look how him a smile and look like him a sleep. Wey dem did deh?" to backup shouting from the gathering who asked, "Who dem deh?!"

On Saturday, before the viewing at the Tony Spaulding Complex, a brief viewing of the body took place at the popular Tivoli Gardens spot where the Passa Passa street dance is held every Wednesday, as the crowd was too intense to make it into the Tivoli Gardens Centre.

When Bogle's body in Brite Lite's glass casket finally arrived at the Tony Spaulding Complex, it was pandemonium as persons from Jones Town, Craig Town, Top Jungle, Texas, Mexico, Havana, Angola and other adjacent communities scrambled to get a look.

Several persons, including members of the Black Roses crew, wept openly as the reality of his death hit them hard. Meanwhile, on nearby Lincoln Crescent (Black Roses), the Lover's Choice sound system, which played at the wake, rinsed versions of the tune said to have led to Bogle's demise, "All Dem Deh."

As the night progressed, several persons (among them international press) from as far as Japan, USA, Canada, England and the Caribbean descended on the area for the wake that would take them late into Sunday morning.

Several artistes and guest sound system selectors who passed through paid musical tributes. Both sides of Lincoln Crescent were lined with vendors who were out in their numbers.

One resident remarked to XtraNews that, "Bogle a good youth. Look how much people a meck a money offa him although him dead."

A JIGGY SERVICE
It was more of the same on the road leading to the Kencot Seventh Day Adventist Church where the thanksgiving service for the life of Gerald "Bogle" Levy took place on Sunday. The vendors were out in their numbers. So too were the high rollers and paparazzi.

As expected, it was an elaborate, bling bling, jiggy affair. The officiating ministers for the service had a warm time trying to get the oftentimes disruptive attention of the audience, who were dressed in their best.

At one point during the tributes, persons inside the church who saw a fire brigade-red Hummer drive into the churchyard thought that it was Beenie Man and soon everyone was on their feet rushing to the door, despite pleas by one of the ministers for "sanctity in the house of God."

Things soon calmed when they realised it wasn't Beenie Man, but as soon as DJ Bounty Killer arrived, the mourners got into frenzy as the lanky entertainer entered the church and the casket was opened for him to view Bogle. Persons on the outside who had not seen the body then tried to force their way into the church.

Before the spurts of chaos at the service, there was a salutation on behalf of the East Jamaica Conference of SDA, followed by the reading of the first lesson by MP Dr. Omar Davies, then MP Hon. Aloun Assamba reading the second lesson and Bogle's daughter, Nadia Levy, reading the third. Tributes were also paid by Bogle's children Gerald Jr. and daughter Geraliya, who had the church weak and some persons in tears when she said, "We love you daddy, we miss you, goodbye."

Other tributes also came from Digicel's Phillip Liu who said, "Passa Passa, Weddy Weddy, Jiggy Jiggy--Bogle deh everywey," to the delight of the audience.

Professor Carolyn Cooper, reading the eulogy, stirred emotions when she reminded the gathering of the popular folklore "Sammy Dead." "Bogle mek one dance, and di dance grow an' get so big, it kill poor Bogle," were her words.

Things then started getting out of control again when L.A. Lewis, who refers to himself as "Five-Star General," took to the podium. He shouted out "See the key deh!" to which the audience responded "Lock dem up now!" The comical entertainer, who was overwhelmed with grief, lamented how he witnessed his friend Bogle being killed and that he was still traumatized by the incident.

Delly Ranks and Voise Mail (with whom Bogle recorded the number one hit single "Weddy Time Again") were next. They attempted to do the song in tribute, but were overcome by emotion until dancers Ice, Boisy, Kieva and Mad Michelle joined them on stage to do "Jiggy Time Again" with the entire audience getting jiggy.

Already out of control, the sermon was replaced with the singing of several lively popular gospel songs, during which Bogle's body, in House of Tranquility's designer casket, was taken out to the glass carriage.

As the huge funeral procession, which was like a carnival and caused a major traffic jam, passed through various communities on its way to Dovecot, curious onlookers gathered along the way shouting "A lie!"

On St. John's Road in Spanish Town, yellow crime scene tapes welcomed the procession. So too did the residents who brought the procession to a halt and demanded to see the "king of dances." The glass chariot hearse had to stop and the casket open for a brief moment for the residents to see.

Inside Dovecot Memorial Park, Bogle's final resting place, was more of the same as the throngs who came with the procession met up with the hundreds who were already waiting, causing a major backup, as once again the casket had to be opened for a final viewing before Bogle's remains were finally lowered into the vault never to be seen again.

It was finally over. After weeks of celebration for the life of the slain 40-year-old dancer, the huge, elaborate, one-of-a-kind funeral with two caskets, two funeral homes, two sets of funeral programmes, T-shirts and buttons, top-of-the-line stretch limousines, double chariots, mobile boom box motorcades and so much more--it was time to say the final goodbye.

Brite Lite Funeral Home provided the glass casket for viewing, floral arrangements and glass chariot, while House of Tranquility Funeral Home was the official undertaker who did the embalming, reconstruction and arrangements for burial.

The thanksgiving service for the life of dancehall icon and veteran dance choreographer, Gerald "Bogle" Levy, who was gunned down at a gas station on Constant Spring Road, Kingston, Jamaica on the morning of Thursday, January 20, is set to take place on Sunday, February 6, 2005 (at a church yet to be decided at press time). Interment will be at the Dovecot Memorial Park.

With two funeral homes Brite Lite and House of Tranquility undertaking the arrangements, the late dancer will have a historic funeral unlike any
other.

Several persons from overseas have already flown into the island, with many more expected, for what is being described in dancehall circles as "one of the most fashionable bling bling funerals," which is expected to attract a full complement of artistes, entertainment high rollers, various crews,
upcoming dancers, sound system operators, politicians, businessmen and local and international media, among others.

The veteran dancer who not only touched the world with his catchy dance moves, but his unique dressing, will set yet another trend on his final
departure. Bogle will have two caskets one of his mother's choosing from House of Tranquility, which will be a metal casket in which he will be
buried, and the other from Bogle's close friend Tommy Thompson, CEO of Brite Lite Funeral Home, which will be a one-of-a-kind masterpiece glass casket.

Speaking from his Brite Lite office, CEO Tommy Thompson told Jahworks.org that, "the designer one-of-a-kind glass casket will be engraved with some of the dancer's famous pictures depicting dance moves. It will be drawn by our glass house chariot, followed by stretch limousines.

"After the funeral service there will be a party atmosphere on the way to Dovecot. A boom box will play all the jiggy music Bogle's fans are accustomed to. The church and areas of viewing will be fully decorated with flowers and Helium balloons. Vehicles taking part in the procession will also have bumper stickers saying 'We Love You Bogle' with his photo at the end."

After the funeral, the designer glass casket that once housed Bogle's body will become a masterpiece that will be on display at the Brite Lite funeral
home.

Thompson also told Jahworks.org that he is in negotiations with persons in regards to the burial of Kevin "Matterhorn" Reid, the other man who was shot along with Bogle and succumbed to his injuries days after. "He will definitely be buried," he said.

Gerald "Bogle" Levy was born on August 22, 1964 and died tragically on January 20, 2005. He leaves behind mother Miss Mae; significant others,
Aretha and Tanya; children Nordia, Gerald (Jr.), Annette, Javon and Gerilicia; brothers Derrick, Donovan, Fitzie and Lennox; sisters Jennifer,
Audrey, Patsy, Paula, Nadine and Simone; several relatives, friends, and associates.

There will be no floral tribute. Instead, offerings will be collected in aid of the St. Elizabeth Basic and Iris Gelly Primary schools.

On January 20, 2005, Levy and four others were in his car at a shopping-district gas station when two men on motorbike sped past, shooting into the vehicle. The passengers were rushed to Kingston Public Hospital, where the forty-year-old Levy was pronounced dead.
